What is Sun DAO? +
Sun DAO (sun-dao.org) is TRON's premier decentralized autonomous organization and full-stack DeFi protocol. It combines DAO governance, yield farming, SUN token staking, credit/lending, token swaps, and cross-chain bridging in one unified platform built on the TRON blockchain.
What is the SUN token? +
SUN is Sun DAO's native TRC-20 governance and utility token. It is used to vote on protocol proposals, earn staking rewards, provide liquidity in yield farming pools, and pay for premium protocol features. SUN holders are the true owners of the Sun DAO protocol.
How does Sun DAO governance work? +
Sun DAO uses on-chain governance powered by vSUN (vote-escrowed SUN). Stake SUN tokens for any duration to receive vSUN voting weight. Use vSUN to vote on Sun Improvement Proposals (SIPs) covering fee changes, new chain additions, treasury allocations, and more. All votes are recorded on TRON.
How do I participate in Sun DAO DAO voting? +
Connect your wallet at sun-dao.org, navigate to the DAO tab, lock SUN tokens to receive vSUN voting power, and vote on any active proposal. Longer lock periods grant proportionally more vSUN. Voters also earn additional SUN rewards for participation.
What is yield farming on Sun DAO? +
Yield farming on Sun DAO means adding liquidity to one of our AMM pools (e.g. SUN/TRX, USDT/TRX) and earning SUN rewards in addition to trading fees. The flagship SUN-TRX pool currently offers up to 48.7% APY. Rewards are paid continuously and can be harvested at any time.
What is Sun DAO staking? +
Sun DAO staking allows you to lock SUN tokens for a chosen period — flexible (no lock), 30 days, 90 days, or 365 days — and earn SUN rewards proportional to your lock amount and duration. Staking also generates vSUN for DAO governance. The 365-day tier currently offers up to 52% APY.
What is the Sun DAO credit protocol? +
The Sun DAO credit protocol is an on-chain lending and borrowing market on TRON. You can supply assets (USDT, TRX, SUN, USDC) to earn interest, or use your holdings as collateral to borrow other assets. All positions are over-collateralized and managed by smart contracts with no intermediaries.
How does the Sun DAO swap work? +
The Sun DAO swap is an automated market maker (AMM) allowing instant token exchanges between any TRC-20 assets with deep liquidity. A 0.3% swap fee is collected and distributed entirely to liquidity providers — no additional protocol fee. Slippage is typically under 0.1% for major pairs.
How does the Sun DAO bridge work? +
Sun DAO's cross-chain bridge uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) and ZK (Zero-Knowledge) proofs to securely transfer assets between TRON and 7+ blockchain networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and Solana. Average transfer time is under 60 seconds with a 0.1% flat fee.
What chains does Sun DAO bridge support? +
Sun DAO bridge currently supports TRON, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and Solana — 7 chains total with more planned through governance votes. New chain integrations must pass a Sun Improvement Proposal before deployment.
Is Sun DAO non-custodial? +
Yes. Sun DAO is 100% non-custodial. Your assets always remain in your own wallet or in audited smart contracts you directly interact with. Sun DAO has no admin keys, no upgrade proxies controlled by a single party, and no ability to access or move your funds.
Has Sun DAO been audited? +
Yes. Sun DAO's smart contracts have been audited by leading blockchain security firms. All audit reports are publicly available. The protocol also runs a $5M bug bounty program through Immunefi to incentivize ongoing security research by the community.
What wallets does Sun DAO support? +
Sun DAO supports TronLink (recommended for TRON-native users), WalletConnect (for mobile wallets), MetaMask (EVM-compatible), and TokenPocket (multi-chain). Simply visit sun-dao.org and click "Launch App" to connect your preferred wallet.
What is the collateral factor on the credit protocol? +
The collateral factor varies by asset. USDT and USDC have a 80% collateral factor, TRX is 75%, and SUN is 65%. This means for every $100 of USDT you supply, you can borrow up to $80 of another asset. Governance can adjust these factors through SIPs.
What is the health factor in Sun DAO lending? +
The health factor measures the safety of your borrowing position. A health factor above 1.0 is safe; below 1.0 triggers liquidation of your collateral to repay the debt. You should always monitor your health factor and repay or add collateral if it approaches 1.0.
How are Sun DAO farming rewards calculated? +
Farming rewards are calculated based on your share of the liquidity pool, the pool's total allocated SUN reward weight, and the current SUN emission rate set by governance. Rewards accrue block-by-block on TRON and can be harvested at any time from the Yield tab.
What is the SUN token total supply? +
SUN has a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. Of this, 40% (4B SUN) is allocated to community farming and staking rewards, 25% (2.5B SUN) to the DAO treasury, 15% to protocol development, 12% to ecosystem partners, and 8% to the team with a 4-year vesting schedule.
Can I use Sun DAO on mobile? +
Yes. Sun DAO at sun-dao.org is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers. We recommend using TronLink mobile app or TokenPocket as your wallet. Simply open the Sun DAO app in your wallet's built-in browser for the best mobile experience.
What happens if I get liquidated? +
If your health factor drops below 1.0, liquidators can repay part of your debt and receive your collateral at a discount (liquidation bonus). To avoid liquidation, monitor your position health, maintain a safe buffer above 1.0, and repay or add collateral promptly when the ratio drops.
How do I create a governance proposal? +
To create a Sun Improvement Proposal (SIP), you need a minimum of 1,000 vSUN. Navigate to the DAO tab, click "Create Proposal", fill in the title, description, and on-chain actions, then submit. Proposals require a 5,000 vSUN quorum to pass and have a 3-day voting window.
What are the Sun DAO bridge fees? +
Sun DAO bridge charges a flat 0.1% fee on all cross-chain transfers. There are no hidden fees or gas surprises. Since TRON network fees are near-zero, bridging from TRON is significantly cheaper than bridges originating on Ethereum or BNB Chain.
What is vSUN and how do I get it? +
vSUN (vote-escrowed SUN) is the non-transferable governance token you receive when staking SUN. The amount of vSUN you receive depends on how much SUN you lock and for how long. Locking 1,000 SUN for 365 days gives 4× more vSUN than locking the same amount for 90 days.
Is there a minimum amount to stake or farm? +
Sun DAO has no formal minimum for staking or yield farming. However, due to TRON network transaction fees (very low — typically under $0.01), we recommend at least 10 SUN for staking and at least $10 equivalent for liquidity provision to make gas costs worthwhile.
How is the SUN DAO bridge secured? +
Sun DAO bridge uses Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to distribute key management across 15+ independent validator nodes, with no single point of failure. Every cross-chain transfer is additionally verified by Zero-Knowledge proofs, ensuring destination chains can independently validate source chain state.
Can I withdraw staked SUN early? +
For flexible staking (no lock), you can withdraw at any time. For fixed-term staking (30, 90, or 365 days), early withdrawal is possible subject to a penalty fee (graduated from 10% to 0% as your lock period matures). Penalty fees are redistributed to remaining stakers.
What is the Sun DAO DAO treasury used for? +
The Sun DAO treasury holds 25% of total SUN supply and is controlled entirely by governance vote. The treasury funds protocol development, security audits, ecosystem grants, exchange listings, marketing initiatives, and any other uses approved by SUN holders through SIPs.
What assets can I borrow on Sun DAO credit? +
You can borrow USDT, USDC, TRX, SUN, and select partner TRC-20 tokens on Sun DAO's credit protocol. The available borrow assets and their interest rates are determined by supply/demand market dynamics and can be adjusted through governance proposals.
Does Sun DAO have a referral program? +
Yes. Sun DAO's referral program allows any wallet to generate a unique referral link. When referred users complete their first transaction (swap, stake, farm, or borrow), both the referrer and referee receive a SUN bonus. Details are available in the DAO dashboard after connecting your wallet.
What is impermanent loss in Sun DAO pools? +
Impermanent loss (IL) occurs when the price ratio of tokens in a liquidity pool changes from when you deposited. Sun DAO partially offsets IL through high SUN farming rewards. Stable pools (USDT/USDC) have near-zero IL. The SUN-TRX pool's high APY is designed to compensate for potential IL.
How do I track my Sun DAO portfolio? +
After connecting your wallet to sun-dao.org, the Portfolio page displays your full position breakdown: staked SUN, liquidity positions, farming rewards, active loans, bridge transaction history, and DAO voting record — all in one dashboard with real-time P&L tracking.
What is the Sun DAO swap fee? +
The standard swap fee is 0.3% of the transaction value, which goes entirely to liquidity providers. There is no separate protocol fee. Stable pairs (USDT/USDC) have a reduced fee of 0.05%. Governance can propose fee adjustments for individual pools.
Is Sun DAO available to US users? +
Sun DAO is a decentralized protocol and its smart contracts are accessible globally. However, users should comply with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction. sun-dao.org geofences its front-end interface in accordance with relevant regulations. Users can always interact directly with the smart contracts.
What happens to my farming rewards if I exit a pool? +
When you remove liquidity from a Sun DAO farming pool, all your accrued but unclaimed SUN rewards are automatically harvested to your wallet in the same transaction. You will not lose any earned rewards. Your LP tokens are burned and you receive your underlying assets back at current ratios.
Does Sun DAO have a bug bounty? +
Yes. Sun DAO runs a $5M bug bounty program rewarding security researchers who responsibly disclose vulnerabilities. Critical bugs (smart contract exploits) are eligible for up to $1M rewards. Medium severity issues receive up to $50K. All submissions are reviewed within 72 hours.
How often are farming APYs updated? +
Sun DAO farming APYs are updated in real-time based on total pool liquidity, current SUN token price, and the SUN emission rate allocated to each pool by governance. APYs are calculated and displayed per-block and can fluctuate as liquidity enters or exits the pools.
What is the future roadmap for Sun DAO? +
Sun DAO's roadmap (governed by community SIPs) includes: adding Avalanche, Fantom, and zkSync bridge routes, launching a perpetuals trading module, introducing collateralized stable yield vaults, native TRON NFT integration, and cross-chain governance aggregation. All major decisions are voted on by SUN holders.
How does Sun DAO compare to other TRON DeFi protocols? +
Sun DAO is unique in offering all major DeFi primitives (DAO, yield, staking, credit, swap, bridge) in a single integrated protocol on TRON. This gives users seamless composability — for example, using bridge funds immediately in yield pools — without switching between multiple separate platforms.
Where can I find Sun DAO's smart contract addresses? +
All Sun DAO smart contract addresses are published on the official documentation at sun-dao.org/docs and verified on TRONSCAN. Never interact with any contract addresses shared outside official channels. Bookmark sun-dao.org as the only official front-end.
How do I join the Sun DAO community? +
